Polygon co-founder Jordi Baylina has announced the spin-off of a zero-knowledge project called ZisK. The new initiative will operate independently and focus on supporting multiple programming languages.
As reported, Baylina will continue to work closely with Polygon as an advisor, but his primary focus will shift to ZisK. This move comes shortly after Sandeep Nailwal, another co-founder of Polygon, took over as the CEO of the Polygon Foundation. Interestingly, Nailwal revealed that he will be concentrating more on Agglayer and Polygon PoS instead of zero-knowledge projects.
The new project, ZisK, has been in development for over a year and is currently supported by Rust programming language but aims to add support for other high-level languages such as Go and C#. The team also consists of the core minds behind Polygon Hermez, another Polygon project focusing on secure, low-cost, and usable token transfers.
ZisK’s architecture features advanced aggregation circuits, super-optimized GPU code, and highly parallelized proof generation. According to the information available, ZisK aims to be able to prove Ethereum blocks in real-time or even faster.
