I was a Question Time panellist on an episode that left viewers LIVID – Fiona Bruce showed her true colours when the cameras stopped rolling
As I stepped off the set of Question Time, I couldn’t help but feel a mix of emotions. The night had been intense, to say the least. As a panel member, I’d witnessed some heated exchanges and strong opinions, but nothing could have prepared me for what happened after the cameras stopped rolling.
It started with Fiona Bruce, our esteemed host, who seemed to transform from her usual calm and collected self into a force to be reckoned with. Her eyes locked onto mine, and I sensed a hint of menace in her tone as she approached me.
“Can you explain your stance on the topic?” she demanded, her voice laced with an undertone of aggression. I was taken aback by her sudden ferocity but tried my best to respond calmly.
However, things only got more heated from there. The other panellists and even the audience seemed to be caught up in the maelstrom, their faces twisted in outrage or disapproval. It was as if we’d tapped into a collective vein of frustration and anger that had been building for weeks.
The conversation continued to escalate until it felt like we were on the cusp of chaos. Even I, an experienced debater, found myself struggling to keep my cool amidst the storm. Meanwhile, Fiona Bruce seemed to be orchestrating the whole debacle with her sharp wit and quick reflexes.
As we wrapped up the show, I couldn’t help but wonder if what we’d witnessed was a glimpse into the true nature of our society. It’s unsettling to think that such a charged atmosphere can develop when even the most esteemed figures seem to lose their composure.
And yet, as I made my way home, I couldn’t shake off the feeling that this momentary lapse in decorum had brought us all closer together. Maybe we’d finally found a common thread amidst the noise and rhetoric – the fact that, no matter what we discuss on stage or in real life, we’re all just trying to make sense of this crazy world.
Fiona Bruce’s true colours were on full display that night, and for once, I’m glad she showed them.
