Pi2Day Kicks Off with New Pi Network Announcements, Pi Coin Price Remains Bearish
Pi2Day 2025 has finally arrived, and the Pi Network team has wasted no time in making significant announcements. Unfortunately for holders of the cryptocurrency, these updates have failed to stimulate a price increase. At present, the coin is trading at $0.5444, down 1.8% in the past day.
The most notable announcement from the Pi Core Team is the launch of Pi App Studio, an AI-powered, no-code development platform designed to support real-world problem-solving through scalable app creation. This feature will enable users to create Pi applications without requiring any technical expertise.
Furthermore, Ecosystem Directory Staking has been launched as part of this year’s Pi2Day celebration. This innovation allows both Pioneers and businesses to stake their Pi tokens in order to boost the visibility and ranking of apps within the Ecosystem Interface by staking them on the Mainnet blockchain.
The Pi Network has also released a new version for Pi Nodes, integrated with a third-party on-ramp aggregator and extended the .pi Domains Auction. Additionally, improvements have been made to the Mainnet migration process to facilitate smoother transitions.
To engage the community and encourage exploration of these fresh features, the network has launched the Pi2Day Ecosystem Challenge. Participants will be able to discover new capabilities while earning digital rewards.
Despite these updates, the Pi coin price remains bearish, with many in the community hoping for more significant announcements such as a major exchange listing or AI integration, not to mention a clear timeline for the official launch of Pi’s Open Mainnet.
