Apple iPhone 17: Key Design Upgrade Promised In New Leak
According to a recent report from Digital Chat Station, a reliable leaker on Weibo who had previously provided accurate information about upcoming Apple devices, the display of the forthcoming iPhone 17 will undergo a significant change. The new data suggests that the regular iPhone 17’s screen will be enlarged to match the Pro model’s 6.3-inch size.
Currently, the iPhone 16 has a display measuring 6.1 inches, and it appears that Apple is moving towards providing a larger viewing area for all users. Furthermore, this potential upgrade may bring about the possibility of finally introducing ProMotion technology on non-Pro iPhones for the first time.
It’s been rumored that while there will be an improvement in the refresh rate, it will simply increase from 60Hz to 120Hz without incorporating dynamic adjustments, which is a feature commonly associated with the iPhone 16 Pro and other high-end models. This would be a disappointment, as ProMotion technology has garnered widespread acclaim due to its ability to provide smoother viewing experiences while conserving battery life.
While there are no clear details on the front-facing camera’s changes, it has been speculated that this component will undergo an upgrade from a 12-megapixel resolution to a more advanced 24-megapixel resolution.
