Apple iPhone 17: Key Design Upgrade Promised In New Leak
In a recent leak, it has been revealed that the upcoming Apple iPhone 17 series will be introducing a significant design upgrade. The news comes from Digital Chat Station, a reputable source of information on Apple’s future products.
According to the report, the display size for the new regular iPhone 17 will match that of the existing Pro model at 6.3 inches. This move is likely to bring about a change in display refresh rate as well. However, it seems unlikely that ProMotion technology will be introduced to the non-Pro iPhones.
The leak also suggests that the front-facing camera on certain models of the iPhone 17 series will have an increased resolution from 12-megapixel to 24-megapxiel. In addition to this, there are rumors about a change in the layout of the front-facing camera and Face ID sensor on the iPhone 17 Air model.
One significant alteration is reported to be happening with the camera position on the new iPhone 17 Air device. The camera will reportedly be moved from its current position at the right edge of the Dynamic Island to the left side, resulting in a more compact design for future iPhones.
Forbes contributor David Phelan notes that while this change may seem unusual at first glance, it could pave the way for a potential shift in Apple’s design strategy moving forward.
