
Warner Music and Bain Capital have announced a $1.2 billion joint venture aimed at acquiring high-profile music catalogs, including both recorded music and publishing rights. This strategic alliance is jointly funded by both firms and will provide support for artists and songwriters while amplifying the impact and longevity of their creative legacies.
According to Robert Kyncl, CEO of Warner Music Group, “Iconic artists and songwriters choose WMG to grow their legacies and introduce their art to new generations through impactful and innovative campaigns.” The collaboration combines WMG’s global infrastructure with Bain Capital’s financial prowess and belief in music.
