Foxconn’s AI Ambitions Gain Momentum as New Taiwan Facility Opens
Taiwan-based electronics manufacturing giant Foxconn has announced the opening of a new facility in Taoyuan, boosting its Artificial Intelligence (AI) server output and marking another step forward in its strategic shift towards AI-focused production. This significant move highlights the company’s commitment to capitalizing on growing global demand for AI infrastructure.
The newly leased 8-floor site in the Farglory Free Trade Zone will enable Ingrasys, Foxconn’s subsidiary focused on AI server manufacturing, to scale up its operations and fulfill a projected 50% rise in revenue by 2025. This ambitious projection comes after a solid first half of the year, with sales numbers exceeding NT$615 billion (approximately USD 20.6 billion), a staggering increase of 11.92 percent from 2024.
The Taiwanese government’s proactive approach to fostering an AI-centric manufacturing environment has been instrumental in supporting Foxconn’s growth strategy. Taiwan is now positioned at the epicenter of the global AI infrastructure boom, as U.S.-based hyperscalers have demonstrated significant demand for these servers.
As part of a broader realignment of production priorities, this development underscores Foxconn’s resolve to diversify its product offerings and strengthen its position in the rapidly expanding AI sector.
