Wallows Recall Morrissey Walking Out of Their Show: ‘That’s the Perfect Morrissey Story’
In a surprising turn of events, Wallows have revealed that Morrissey, former lead vocalist of iconic British band The Smiths, unexpectedly walked out on their show. The incident took place at Los Angeles’ Roxy Theatre during a 50th anniversary special performance.
During an interview with Jake Shane’s podcast Therapuss, the American alt-rock trio comprising Dylan Minnette, Braeden Lemasters, and Cole Preston delved into various topics, including their early days, formation, and memorable encounters. They brought up Morrissey’s unexpected appearance at one of their shows.
“We had a lot of history there,” Minette explained, recounting the story of how they were asked to perform a special show celebrating the venue’s 50th anniversary. “Someone told us, ‘Hey, he’s asking to come to the show,'” Wallows recalled in an interview with Therapuss.
Wallows’ lead vocalist Dylan Minnette revealed that before the performance began, fans were informed that Morrissey was present in the building and ready to watch their set.
