
**Bounty Killer to Be Honored at 2025 Caribbean Music Awards**
Renowned Jamaican dancehall icon, Bounty Killer, is set to be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the upcoming 2025 Caribbean Music Awards. This prestigious recognition acknowledges Bounty Killer’s transformative impact across multiple generations of Caribbean artists.
The honor comes on the heels of his recent headlining performance at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center for his first U.S. show in 15 years, a testament to his enduring influence and popularity.
The nominations for this year’s event have already been revealed, with top contenders including Shenseea, Masicka, Jada Kingdom, and many others. A total of over 150 nominees across 40-plus categories have been recognized for their significant contributions to the Caribbean music landscape.
In addition to the Lifetime Achievement Award, two other special honors will be bestowed upon Austin “Super Blue” Lyons, a Trinidadian calypsonian giant who pioneered the iconic “jump and wave” style of soca with his hit single “Get Something and Wave” in 1991. This recognition celebrates Super Blue’s groundbreaking influence on the genre.
Furthermore, renowned composer and songwriter Kerwin Du Bois will be honored for his impact as a producer.
