Neil Diamond to Be Honored at 2025 Carousel Ball in Denver
Legendary musician Neil Diamond is set to receive the Inspirational Lifetime Achievement Award at the 39th annual Carousel Ball on October 11. The event will be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Denver, near the primary operations and research facility of the Children’s Diabetes Foundation.
The iconic singer-songwriter has had a storied career spanning nearly six decades. He landed his first top-10 hit on Billboard’s all-genre Radio Songs chart with “Cherry, Cherry” in October 1966, later achieving three No. 1 hits on the Hot 100 with tracks like “Cracklin’ Rosie,” “Song Sung Blue,” and a duet with Barbra Streisand, titled “You Don’t Bring Me Flowers.” He also reached the top of the Billboard 200 chart in 2008 with album ‘Home Before Dark.’
Neil Diamond’s achievements have been recognized by numerous prestigious organizations. The songwriting legend has been elected to the Songwriters Hall of Fame, earning two additional awards from that organization – the Sammy Cahn Lifetime Achievement Award and the Johnny Mercer Award.
The singer-songwriter is also a recipient of the MusiCares’ Person of the Year Award, was honored with Kennedy Center Honors in 2011, and received the Recording Academy’s lifetime achievement award. Furthermore, he has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
The event will benefit Children’s Diabetes Foundation and focus on patient support, awareness, and research. The Carousel Balls have collectively raised over $117 million since their inception in 1978.
