Super Micro Computer Inc., a California-based server manufacturing company, has announced its plans to significantly expand its operations in Europe. The move is aimed at capitalizing on the expected boom in the AI server market, which is projected to reach a staggering $77 billion by 2029.
According to recent industry forecasts, the global server market is anticipated to surge from $250 billion today to nearly $600 billion by 2029, with AI-focused infrastructure driving this massive growth. Super Micro appears well-positioned to capture a significant share of this opportunity as it strengthens its European presence and leverages its expertise in AI-optimized designs.
The company’s decision to accelerate its regional expansion plans is largely attributed to the rapid rise in demand for AI servers across Europe. Super Micro has already invested more in its Netherlands facility, with further opportunities being explored to scale up production and reduce logistical friction.
Super Micro’s CEO, Charles Liang, emphasized during a recent presentation at the Raise Summit in Paris that the company is committed to increasing its investment in the European market due to the accelerated demand for AI servers.
