Remixpoint CEO Takashi Tashiro to Get Entire Paycheck in Bitcoin
In a bold move, Remixpoint has announced that its new Chief Executive Officer, Takashi Tashiro, will be receiving his entire paycheck in the form of Bitcoin. The decision is aimed at aligning Tashiro’s interests with those of shareholders, as the company looks to center its financial strategy around the popular cryptocurrency.
According to a recent statement from Remixpoint, the CEO’s salary will first be calculated in Japanese yen, taking into account taxes and other deductions required by law. Following this, the company will use the same amount of yen to purchase Bitcoin at the current market price.
Tashiro took on his new role at Remixpoint in June and has already expressed plans to make Bitcoin a central part of the company’s financial plans. This unexpected move underscores the growing influence of cryptocurrency in the business world, particularly with regards to executive compensation packages.
Remixpoint, an energy company based in Tokyo, currently holds over $116 million in crypto assets as part of its efforts to shift its focus towards Bitcoin and other digital currencies.
