Lenovo’s Luxurious Chromebook Plus 14 Has More Power Than It Knows What to Do With
The Lenovo Chromebook Plus 14 is the epitome of a luxurious Chromebook experience. Packed with more power than it knows what to do with, this device seems to be designed for one thing and one thing only: a delightful companion for watching movies and cuddling.
At first glance, the Chromebook Plus 14 doesn’t seem like it’s been revamped in any substantial way from its previous iterations. The new MediaTek chip and AI processing capabilities are certainly notable advancements, but they don’t necessarily change the user experience. It’s still a device meant for browsing the cloud-based web apps you can imagine.
The keyboard is where this Chromebook truly shines. It’s the kind of device where you’ll love typing (and that’s a good thing, since you probably won’t be doing much else). The Lenovo Chromebook Plus 14’s silent, fanless design only adds to its appeal.
In terms of specifications, the device is impressive. It boasts an OLED display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 and four 2W speakers that support Dolby Atmos sound. In real-world testing, this Chromebook easily exceeded my expectations by lasting more than a full day’s work on a single charge.
The Lenovo Chromebook Plus 14 comes in two flavors: one with a touchscreen for $750 and another without it for $650. While I was sent the more expensive version for review, there isn’t necessarily anything to be missed out on if you opt for the cheaper option. It is, after all, just a device.
While it’s true that this Chromebook is not perfect – it lacks a panel capable of higher refresh rates and doesn’t come with any groundbreaking AI features – I can’t help but feel that it would make an excellent companion in my daily life.
