Ripple Executive Reveals Groundbreaking Custody Partnership with Ctrl Alt
In a surprise move, Ripple’s Senior Executive Officer/Managing Director for the Middle East and Africa, Reece Merrick, has finally spoken out about the company’s latest strategic partnership. The game-changing announcement marks a significant milestone in the development of digital asset infrastructure in the region.
According to the statement, Ripple will be partnering with Ctrl Alt to power the Dubai Land Department’s (DLD) groundbreaking Real Estate Tokenization Project. This innovative move solidifies Ripple’s position as a key player in the emerging real estate tokenization market.
The partnership is a testament to the growing demand for digital asset infrastructure in the Middle East and Africa, which Ripple has been actively addressing by expanding its global custody network. As of now, Ripple boasts clients in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America.
Merrick expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, referring to it as a “game-changing” move that highlights the region’s growing appetite for digital asset infrastructure. The Dubai Land Department has chosen the XRP Ledger, which Merrick emphasized strengthens XRPL’s credentials as a choice for critical financial use cases.
Ripple has recently gained momentum in the UAE after securing a license from the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA), becoming the first blockchain-enabled payments service to do so.
