British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has once again proven his dedication to his craft by pushing his friend and actor Chris Hemsworth to his limits. In a new trailer for National Geographic’s Limitless series, Sheeran can be seen challenging Hemsworth to play drums on stage in front of an astonishing 70,000 people.
The intense scene shows Hemsworth struggling to keep up with the rhythm as he attempts to perform a song alongside the singer at the National Arena in Bucharest, Romania. The concert is part of the upcoming three-part series Limitless: Live Better Now, which premiers on Disney+ and Hulu on August 15th.
In the trailer, Sheeran can be heard offering words of encouragement to his friend as he faces off against this daunting task. “You should learn the drums to play a song with me on my stadium tour,” the Grammy-winning artist advises Hemsworth, who is seen sweating profusely and looking visibly uncomfortable throughout the performance.
At one point, Sheeran candidly remarks, “I think this actually might be the most difficult thing you do.” The comment seems to hold true as Hemsworth appears to be at his wit’s end while attempting to keep up with the blistering pace of the drums.
