Miranda Lambert and Parker McCollum have joined forces to spearhead a benefit concert in support of the devastating floods that have struck central Texas. The event, titled Band Together Texas, is set to take place on August 17 at Moody Center in Austin.
The much-needed relief effort will feature performances from numerous talented Texans, including Cody Johnson, Kelly Clarkson and Ronnie Dunn.
In an emotional statement, Lambert expressed her gratitude for the resilient spirit of her home state’s community. “One of the things I love about both our artist community and our community in Texas is that we show up for one another, especially during times of great need like those who are affected by these floods,” she said. “There is so much devastation and loss, yet what has given me hope are the stories of those who have come to the aid of many.”
McCollum echoed Lambert’s sentiments, stating, “The flooding in central Texas is truly heart-wrenching. This place and its people are my community. There is a long road ahead of rebuilding, but even though numerous families face the unimaginable, we’re Texas strong. Miranda is inspiring both in her music and how huge her heart is, and I’m honored to be joining her for this benefit concert.”
As of now, over 130 lives have been lost due to the recent flooding, with more than a hundred people still missing. Many homes and businesses were swept away by the floods, leaving numerous communities severely impacted by the destruction.

Presale passwords will be distributed via registered email on Tuesday, July 22, prior to the pre-sale commencing on Wednesday, July 23, at 10 a.m. CT.
