Subaru has just unveiled its latest electric vehicle, dubbed the “Uncharted,” a crossover that boasts up to 300 miles of range on a single charge. This marks the company’s third foray into the EV market.
The Uncharted uses the same E-TNGA platform as Toyota’s C-HR EV and bears a striking resemblance to it, with similar side cladding, headlights, and even an identical center console that can wirelessly charge two phones. The interior also features a 14-inch infotainment screen with support for Android Auto and CarPlay.
In terms of performance, the Uncharted offers a significant boost over its Toyota counterpart. The front-wheel drive variant is capable of producing 228 horsepower, while the dual-motor four-wheel drive model churns out an impressive 338 horsepower. This latter configuration can go from 0-60mph in under five seconds.
One of the most notable features of the Uncharted is its charging capabilities. It comes equipped with a Tesla-style NACS port, which grants access to Supercharger networks and allows for fast charging speeds of up to 150kW. Subaru claims that it will be able to charge from 10-80 percent in under 30 minutes using battery preconditioning.
Unfortunately, no pricing information has been released by the company at this time. However, based on the CH-R EV’s starting price of $35,000, we can expect a similar pricing strategy for the Uncharted.
The release of the Uncharted marks Subaru’s third electric vehicle offering, following the Solterra and Trailseeker, both of which are set to arrive in 2026.
