Today’s NYT Strands Puzzle: Hints, Spangram And Answers For Saturday, July 19th
I’m thrilled to be back in the rotation after a two-week hiatus, and I’m excited to bring you the hints, spangram, and answers for today’s Strands puzzle. Before we dive into the details, let me take a moment to appreciate my colleagues Kris Holt and Paul Tassi, who have been ably handling the duties while I was away.
Now that I’m back, it’s time to get our minds buzzing with some wordplay! Today’s Strands is an exciting new game from The New York Times’ stable of puzzle games. For those unfamiliar, the gameplay involves uncovering words on a grid that fit a given theme. Each day brings a new challenge, and today is no exception.
Without further ado, let’s get started with today’s hints and answers! Our theme for today is “Hot enough for ya?” which seems quite timely considering I just returned from Phoenix, Arizona where it was indeed scorching hot!
The first two letters of each word are BA SC MU ST SW SU. With these starting points in mind, you should be able to figure out the rest. If you’re struggling, don’t worry – I’m here to help.
Today’s spangram is SUMMERWEATHER, and the full list of words includes BALMY, SCORCHING, MUGGY, STICKY, SWELTERING. As always, I’d love to hear about your experiences with the puzzle in the comments below!
Before concluding this article, I must express my gratitude to Kris Holt and Paul Tassi for their excellent work while I was away, allowing me to return stronger than ever.
