Chart Rewind: In 1999, Jennifer Love Hewitt Scored a ‘Summer’ Hit
In 2002, Jennifer Love Hewitt told Billboard, “I’m a singer who acts. It’s my spirit. I feel alive when I do it. I love acting, but it came unexpected in my life. Singing has always been a part of me.”
While she is best known for her roles on screen, Hewitt did make a splash in the music scene with her song “How Do I Deal” in 1999. The single marked her first solo chart appearance under her own name on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
