Microsoft has unveiled a new Surface Laptop 5G as part of its computing collection for business customers. The company announced the development in January when it showcased updates to the Surface Pro and Surface Laptop for Business.
The newly released Surface 5G is intended to make the laptop an option that’s both portable and connected. With six internal antennas, the device should be able to seamlessly switch between WiFi and cellular networks, as well as acting as a mobile hotspot for other devices.
As for specifications, the new machine boasts a 13.8-inch screen powered by Intel Core Ultra (Series 2) processors. Additionally, it features a Neural Processing Unit with over 40 trillion operations per second (TOPS), which is required to be part of Microsoft’s Copilot+ PC program.
The company has not revealed pricing information yet but stated that the device will begin shipping on August 26.
