A Hellraiser game is in development
Get ready to face your fears as Saber Interactive has announced the development of a video game based on the cult horror franchise Hellraiser. The new game, titled Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival, promises an “action survival horror experience” where players take on the role of Aidan and must navigate through a terrifying world filled with unspeakable horrors.
According to Saber Interactive, the game will be heavily influenced by the dark themes and moral ambiguity that define the Hellraiser universe. As the developer states, “The Hellraiser universe is defined by its unflinching exploration of pain, pleasure, and the thin and terrifying line that separates the two. That essence is at the heart of our game.”
In a surprising move, Saber Interactive has also consulted with Clive Barker himself to ensure an authentic storyline that stays true to the spirit of the original Hellraiser films. The game will be available on Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.
While no release date has been announced, fans of the franchise can expect more updates later this year.
