
HANA’s ‘Blue Jeans’ Tops Japan Hot 100 With Biggest Week of 2025
Billboard Japan has announced the latest charts, with a surprise winner at number one – HANA’s debut single “Blue Jeans”. This is not only its first charting appearance but also marks a significant milestone as it becomes the biggest week for any act in 2025 on the Japan Hot 100.
The septet group dominated the top two spots this week, with its debut single “ROSE” climbing four positions to land at number two. HANA’s “Blue Jeans” has garnered immense attention from fans and critics alike, topping all other metrics including downloads, streaming, and video views. The track also ranks third in sales and eighth for radio airplay.
The top three songs with the highest weekly points this year are:
1. HANA – Blue Jeans (19,152 points)
2. BE:FIRST – GRIT (16,398 points)
3. BE:FIRST – Spacecraft (16,125 points)
On the other end of the chart, “ROSE” by HANA takes a massive leap of four positions to land at number two.
In related news, Japanese pop sensation Kana Nishino has re-entered the charts with her iconic hit from 2010, “Aitakute Aitakute”, which is currently sitting at number 59. Additionally, veteran singer-songwriter aiko’s classic song about an ending love, “Hanabi”, is climbing steadily up the chart due to its renewed popularity.
