Major Scam Alert Issued by SHIB Team: Fake Bitget Web3 Email Targets Crypto Users
The Shiba Inu (SHIB) team has issued a major scam alert, warning the community about a new fraudulent email campaign targeting crypto users. According to reports, the scammers are impersonating major cryptocurrency exchange Bitget in their scheme.
The fake emails claim that recipients can “Secure early airdrop points”, offer “Multichain gas fee coverage”, and provide access to Launchpad & GetDrop”. Users are encouraged to click on the link labelled as “Claim Airdrop” to participate. However, the SHIB team urges investors not to fall for this trap.
The warning comes from @susbarium, a prominent wallet tracking service that regularly spots cryptocurrency scams. The SHIB community is advised to remember two key things: “If it looks too good to be true… sniff twice, click never” and “Always check the official channels. Always verify.”
In related news, Shibburn data has revealed an astonishing 2,204% surge in SHIB burns over the past day. This significant increase is attributed to a massive transfer of 3,579,805 SHIB to unspendable blockchain wallets.
As the crypto community continues to grow and evolve, it’s essential for users to be vigilant about scams and phishing attempts. It’s crucial to verify official channels before engaging with any investment or airdrop offers.
Stay safe, stay informed, and remember: always prioritize your digital security.
