Major Scam Alert Issued by SHIB Team: Fake Bitget Web3 Email Targets Crypto Users
The Shiba Inu (SHIB) team has issued a major scam alert, warning the crypto community about a fake email that is targeting users. The email in question claims to be from Bitget Web3 and is attempting to trick people into claiming BWB airdrop points.
According to reports, the scammers are using buzzwords such as “Secure early airdrop points”, “Multichain gas fee coverage”, and “Access to Launchpad & GetDrop” to bait crypto users. The email includes a link labelled “Claim Airdrop” which is not safe and should be avoided.
The SHIB team has urged the community to beware of these emails, stating that if it looks too good to be true, sniff twice and click never. They also advise verifying official channels before any investment or transaction decisions are made.
In related news, the SHIB army has managed a significant increase in token burns, with a growth of 2,204% over the past 24 hours. This was achieved by transferring a large amount of SHIB coins to unspendable blockchain wallets and dead-end wallets.
