Luke Bryan Says a Concertgoer ‘Took It Too Far’ After Being Struck By Thrown Object During Live Show
Country music superstar Luke Bryan is speaking out about an unsettling incident that occurred during one of his recent concerts. The artist took to Taste of Country to share the details, revealing that he was struck in the face by a thrown object while performing.
Bryan revealed that the moment unfolded during the final song of his set, which he described as a “big ole fun party.” He stated that while he understands fans may get overly enthusiastic and throw objects at him or other performers, one particular concertgoer took it too far. Bryan recalled the moment, saying, “One person just took it too far.”
The country singer handled the situation with poise and professionalism, choosing not to stop the show to address the incident. Instead, he continued playing, allowing the energy of his performance to prevail over any negative feelings that may have been stirred.
Bryan’s actions were likely informed by a desire to keep the vibe of his show intact, as he noted that stopping to confront the individual would have disrupted the party atmosphere and potentially endangered young children in the crowd. “If I’d even stopped it and pointed somebody out,” he said, “it kills the vibe of the show.”
Bryan’s fellow performers have also faced similar incidents where fans have thrown objects at them during live shows. The artist has instead focused on his upcoming concerts, including dates for his Country Song Came On Tour and a recent nod as a first-round performer at the Academy of Country Music Honors.
Fans will be able to experience Bryan’s high-energy performances firsthand when he takes the stage in St. Louis (July 31) and Cincinnati (Aug. 1).
