SHIB Army Urges Elon Musk to Burn SHIB, Just Like Vitalik Buterin
In a recent plea posted by the SHIB community, members have urged Elon Musk to join their ranks and emulate the actions of Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin. The impetus behind this request stems from the Ethereum co-founder’s decision to burn half of the quadrillion SHIB supply back in 2021.
Ryoshi, the enigmatic creator of SHIB, honored Vitalik by sending him approximately 500 trillion coins. However, Vitalik swiftly acted on his instinct, transferring nearly all those coins to an unspendable wallet. This decision was allegedly made due to Vitalik’s initial doubts about the cryptocurrency’s potential, thus not wanting to interfere with its price.
Following this precedent, the SHIB army has now urged Elon Musk, a renowned billionaire entrepreneur and CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, to take action by burning his existing SHIB holdings.
