Steve Martin and Alison Brown have been announced as the co-hosts for the 2025 IBMA Bluegrass Music Awards, set to take place on September 18th at the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
In a statement, Brown expressed her enthusiasm about hosting the event, saying “I’m so honored to cohost this year with my banjo pal Steve Martin.” She has been recognized for her work as a musician, earning the distinguished achievement award from the IBMA and induction into the American Banjo Museum’s Hall of Fame in 2019. As a music executive, she is also the co-founder of Compass Records Group and serves as the president of the Nashville Board of Governors of The Recording Academy.
Steve Martin, meanwhile, has been announced as Brown’s hosting partner. Known for his work in film, starring in movies such as Planes, Trains, and Automobiles, Parenthood, and Father of the Bride, he is also a five-time Grammy-winning bluegrass banjoist and composer, an author, playwright, and comedian performing with longtime collaborator Martin Short on their comedy tour.
The duo’s collaboration has been recognized by receiving multiple award nominations this year.
