FireAid Funds Investigation: No Misconduct Found in LA Wildfire Relief Concerts
A comprehensive investigation by Latham & Watkins has concluded that there is no evidence of misconduct tied to the $100 million raised during a pair of star-studded benefit concerts, FireAid. The law firm’s report, released on Monday (September 8), unequivocally supports the notion that funds have been effectively distributed to those affected by the devastating Los Angeles wildfires in January.
The investigation follows an online backlash led by Republican congressman Kevin Kiley against the charity for its grantmaking process.
