Aave DAO Considers Leaving Polygon
In a shocking turn of events, Aave DAO has announced that it is considering leaving Polygon if the latter goes ahead with its proposal to utilize stablecoin reserves for yield farming activities on other DeFi platforms.
According to Aave chain founder Marc Zeller, this move would significantly impact the risk profiles of bridged assets within the scaling layer. As a result, Aave DAO may cease operations on the Ethereum layer 2 platform Polygon if it upholds this proposal.
Zeller highlighted that the risks associated with bridge vulnerabilities in the past have affected Aave, and the company is not willing to take similar chances with its Aave V2 and V3 implementations on Polygon.
