Amazon’s video game anthology Secret Level is getting a second season
In a move that comes as no surprise given the company’s recent push into the world of gaming, Amazon has announced that its animated video game anthology series, Secret Level, will be returning for a second season.
The news arrives just a short time after the first 15-episode season of Secret Level premiered on Prime Video. The show, which is produced by the same team behind Netflix’s sci-fi anthology Love, Death and Robots, features a range of animated shorts based on various video game properties, including Warhammer 40,000, Dungeons & Dragons, Mega Man, and the recently-shuttered Concord.
While the first season has been met with mixed reviews, it is clear that Amazon is committed to continuing its foray into the world of gaming. In fact, the company has already had significant success in this area, with its live-action take on Yakuza proving popular earlier this year.
Furthermore, a Tomb Raider series is also reportedly in the works at Amazon, and it seems that there are no signs of the company slowing down its efforts to adapt video games for streaming.
