Watch Out: Shiba Inu (SHIB) Team Issues a Crucial Warning to the Community
The Shiba Inu community has been warned once again by Shibarium Trustwatch, as scammers are now targeting users with fake emails related to SHIFU purchases or claims. The team is urging everyone to be vigilant and not share any personal details in response to these requests.
According to the warning, fraudsters are contacting individuals and asking them to send an email regarding how to buy and claim SHIFU, or if it has not appeared in their wallet. Users should exercise extreme caution when receiving such messages and only verify information through official channels.
SHIFU is a dog-themed meme coin introduced by Shytoshi Kusama, the lead developer of Shiba Inu, earlier this month. Although it is available for trading on specific decentralized exchanges, major platforms like Binance have not yet listed it. The team recently launched an exclusive airdrop, where 30% of the token’s total supply will be distributed to the community.
The SHIB team has previously issued similar warnings regarding dubious individuals offering services tied to non-existent or unlisted tokens. Last month, they cautioned against fake groups and fraudulent tokens using Shytoshi Kusama’s name to promote these scams.
As a result, it is essential for users to stay informed about official updates and announcements from the Shiba Inu team, its developers, and authorized channels only. Failure to do so may lead to serious consequences, including losing assets or personal data.
