Today’s ‘Wordle’ #1283 Hints, Clues And Answer For Monday, December 23rd
The steamy hint and the fact that the Wordle has more vowels than consonants are quite intriguing. After analyzing the data, I started by making an educated guess with SABLE, which left me with only 12 possible solutions. With the S and A in green, my next move was to try SANTA, but unfortunately, it was not accepted as a valid answer (no proper nouns, unless it’s SPAIN, although the reasoning behind that remains unclear).
I decided to build upon the given letters and chose SAINT, which brought me another green box. The only remaining solution emerged after some time: SAUNA, and I’m thrilled to report that it was the correct answer!

The word “sauna” originates from Finnish and is derived from the Proto-Finnic term “savÅ„a,” which translates to “bath” or “bathhouse.” It’s possible that this term shares roots with words for “steam” or “smoke”. Historically, saunas were smoke-filled rooms where water was thrown onto heated stones to generate steam. This ancient practice evolved over time, but the core meaning of “sauna” has stayed connected to the concept of a steam bath.
