MicroStrategy Adds 5,262 Bitcoin, Hits 444K Total Holdings
In a recent announcement, MicroStrategy’s chairman, Michael Saylor, revealed the acquisition of an additional 5,262 Bitcoins for $561 million. This new investment brings the company’s total holdings to a staggering 444,262 BTC, acquired at an average cost of $62,257 per bitcoin.
The purchase comes amidst the crypto market’s ongoing volatility, with Bitcoin experiencing significant fluctuations in recent weeks. Despite this unpredictability, MicroStrategy remains committed to its long-term strategy of growing its Bitcoin reserves.
As part of its investment approach, the company has achieved a quarter-to-date (QTD) Bitcoin yield of 47.4% and a year-to-date (YTD) yield of 73.7%.
