Title: A Ripple mellett a Kraken és más kriptovállalatok milliókkal támogatják Trump beiktatását
As the United States prepares to welcome its new president, it’s no surprise that prominent cryptocurrency companies are making significant contributions to support the inauguration. In a recent statement, Brad Garlinghouse, CEO of Ripple, announced that the company plans to donate $5 million worth of XRP tokens in connection with the event.
This massive donation is not an isolated incident, as other major cryptocurrency firms have also been actively supporting Trump’s presidency. According to OpenSecrets, a non-profit organization tracking political donations, it has become clear that the cryptocurrency industry has emerged as one of the largest contributors during this election cycle.
In fact, three super PACs (Political Action Committees) associated with the cryptocurrency industry have collectively spent over $133 million on political contributions. Coinbase, Ripple, and Jump Crypto are among the top donors, with Coinbase alone donating a staggering $1 million to Trump’s inauguration committee before the election results were even announced.
According to Kara Calvert, the head of US public policy for Coinbase, their company is committed to working with both the administration and Congress to shape the regulatory landscape for cryptocurrencies. By supporting Trump, they aim to accelerate the process and start building momentum towards a more favorable environment.
In a statement, Calvert emphasized that they are confident in the potential of this new administration to be the most pro-cryptocurrency administration in US history. This partnership will enable them to work together on shaping the future of cryptocurrencies in America.
It appears that Ripple is not alone in their support for Trump’s inauguration, as other prominent companies like Kraken have also made significant contributions.
