As the cryptocurrency market continues to experience intense volatility and rapid changes in market sentiment, Ripple’s XRP has emerged as the most traded altcoin on Binance for the month of December.
According to data from CoinGlass, the open interest in XRP currently stands at a staggering $1.9 billion, with the majority of this sum being held by the Binance exchange, accounting for nearly half ($812 million). Bitget and OKX take second and third place respectively.
In addition to its remarkable trading volume, which has surpassed an astonishing $9.6 billion over the past 24 hours alone, XRP has also demonstrated exceptional resilience in the face of market downturns, having briefly managed to surpass Bitcoin’s trading volume in South Korea earlier this month.
While the token may have lost some steam in recent days, experts predict that it will continue to benefit from a series of upcoming positive catalysts in 2025.
