Beyond Meat Says Being Attacked Has Just Made It Stronger
In a recent interview, Matt Reynolds, senior writer at WIRED, discussed the importance of adopting plant-based alternatives to animal agriculture. Specifically, he highlighted the benefits of Beyond Meat’s production process and products in comparison to traditional factory-farmed meat.
Reynolds emphasized that if people start consuming Beyond Meat instead of traditional meat, it could lead to significant positive impacts on both human health and the environment. He noted that this shift would “make a huge difference” and is essential for addressing pressing issues like climate change and public health crises.
Moreover, Reynolds highlighted the remarkable reduction in land usage achieved by plant-based products. According to him, 93% less land is required for plant-based meat production compared to animal agriculture. This significant reduction could potentially be used for rewilding and removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, which is crucial for mitigating the effects of climate change.
It’s noteworthy that Reynolds hasn’t yet reached out to Robert F. Kennedy Jr., but he intends to do so in the future.
