Former President Donald Trump took to social media to share a Christmas message with the public and aimed his ire at what he called “Radical Left Lunatics.”
In a series of posts, Trump condemned the recent murders in California and Florida, saying he was “more convinced than ever that we must stop the use of the death penalty at the federal level.” He also pledged to bring back federal executions if elected again.
“I condemn these murderers, grieve for the victims of their despicable acts, and ache for all the families who have suffered unimaginable and irreparable loss,” Trump stated in a statement.
Trump’s message came as President Joe Biden had announced he would commute the sentences of 37 death row inmates earlier this month. This decision drew criticism from some Republicans and right-wing groups.
However, it appears that Trump has not let up on his criticism of Biden’s move.
