
PHOENIX – In a shocking incident, a Christmas Day family dispute escalated into a violent confrontation at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, leaving three people shot and one person stabbed.
According to authorities, the altercation occurred outside a restaurant in Terminal 4 of the airport at approximately 9:45pm. Police were alerted to the situation shortly after, and officers quickly responded to the scene.
Initial reports suggest that a group of known individuals involved in the physical altercation retrieved a handgun from their person, leading to the shots fired and stabbing. Following the incident, three people suffered gunshot wounds, with one adult female listed as having life-threatening injuries and two adult males reported to be in stable condition.
Two suspects were identified and detained in the airport’s parking garage, with one individual found to have sustained a stab wound and subsequently transported to a local hospital for treatment. The male was listed in stable condition upon arrival at the medical facility.
As a precautionary measure, Terminal 4 operations and the Sky Harbor International Airport’s rail system were briefly suspended, before being restored shortly after. No reports of injuries or fatalities from a separate incident that unfolded simultaneously have been reported.
Police officials have not released any names or further details regarding the investigation, with Fox News awaiting an update on the matter.
