Home Alone director Chris Columbus has finally spilled the beans on what kind of jobs could make Kevin McCallister’s (Macaulay Culkin) parents so ridiculously wealthy in the iconic 1990 holiday movie.
While many fans have speculated over the years, Columbus has revealed that Peter and Kate McCallister are actually successful entrepreneurs who own a small chain of stores. “They’re not just working-class folk, they’ve got some sort of entrepreneurial venture going on,” Columbus explained in an exclusive interview with Daily Mail.
Columbus went on to say that their business endeavors have allowed them to live a life of luxury, and not just because Peter is trying to impress his boss by spending a lot.
