Today’s Wordle #1287 Hints, Clues And Answer For Friday, December 27th
As the year winds down, and the winter chill begins to dissipate, we’re still as busy as ever solving these daily doses of linguistic lunacy. Today’s Wordle brings us a fresh set of puzzles, challenges, and of course, that sweet, sweet feeling of triumph when we crack the code.
The Hint: Won’t find this in a keto diet
Before diving into today’s puzzle, I want to take a moment to reflect on the absurdity of it all. Why must the year begin in the depths of winter? It’s an anomaly we can no longer ignore! A discussion for another time perhaps, but for now, let’s focus on the task at hand.
As you embark on this journey with me, I encourage you to share your experiences and insights in the comments below. How did you fare today? Did you crush it or struggle to find your footing? Let’s create a community that celebrates our collective failures, as well as our victories.
With that said, let’s get into the nitty-gritty of Wordle #1287.
The Clues:
Unfortunately, I got off to a rocky start with my initial guess, DREAM. While it didn’t quite pan out, it did help me eliminate some possibilities. Next, I tried ARTSY, which managed to trim down the options from 44 to a mere 18. However, this was still far too many for my taste.
I took a chance on CRANK, but alas, that only left me with four potential answers. It wasn’t until GRAIN that fortune smiled upon me and I claimed today’s Wordle.
In hindsight, I should have stuck with new letters from the get-go or at least avoided repeating any characters. The moral of the story? Don’t be afraid to take risks, even when it feels like the universe is conspiring against you.
The Answer: GRAIN
With that, our journey comes full circle. GRAIN, a word tracing its roots back to Latin’s ‘grānum,’ signifying the seed or grain of a plant, has become an integral part of our daily lives. It originally referred to individual seeds of cereal crops but has since expanded to encompass these crops as a whole.
In an unexpected twist, we’re now using it metaphorically to describe the direction of wood fibers or the texture of surfaces. Who knew that something as seemingly mundane could have such depth and versatility? As you celebrate your own Wordle victories or commiserate with those who didn’t quite make it, remember that this is a community for all.
