“Escape from Tarkov” Patch Fails to Fix Major Tech Issues
Battlestate Games, the developer behind the popular survival game “Escape from Tarkov,” has released a new patch aimed at addressing various technical issues plaguing the game. However, it appears that this latest effort has fallen short of expectations.
Following the massive wipe in December, players were initially excited to dive back into the world of Tarkov and explore the new content added with the 0.16.0.0 patch. Unfortunately, they were quickly met with a plethora of technical problems that have continued to mar their experience.
From micro-stutters and significant performance drops to being kicked from raids as soon as the map loads, players reported an array of issues that hindered their enjoyment of the game. Some even experienced the frustrating scenario of losing gear despite successfully extracting, or worse, dying but retaining all their equipment.
In light of these problems, Battlestate Games swiftly rolled out a new patch to tackle the bulk of the issues. The lengthy list of fixes aimed to address the most pressing concerns and allow players to enjoy the game as intended.
However, it appears that some of these technical woes have persisted despite the patch’s release. In fact, PvE raids continue to exhibit the same issue with not saving properly, leading to the loss of valuable loot and progress.
On a positive note, Battlestate Games has acknowledged this problem and is actively working on a new patch that will rectify this situation as well as others that have not been adequately addressed by the latest update. This reassures players that their feedback is being taken seriously and efforts are underway to resolve these issues in the near future.
Additionally, it was mentioned during a recent TarkovTV stream that performance optimization is set to be a key focus for 2025, which may help alleviate some of the concerns raised by the community.
