Russia’s largest bank joins digital ruble pilot program
Sberbank, the largest bank in Russia, has joined the digital ruble pilot program alongside TBank and Tochka Bank. This development marks a significant milestone in the country’s efforts to expand access to the digital currency across the nation.
The digital ruble pilot phase was initially launched with 12 credit organizations and has now been expanded to include three new participants. According to reports, it is expected that an additional 14-15 banks will join the program by 2025.
