DAVID MARCUS: MAGA’s H-1B ‘civil war’ is exactly how politics is supposed to work
The recent controversy surrounding the H-1B visa program has been dubbed a “civil war” within the America First crowd, but I would argue that it’s not a sign of disunity, but rather the exact opposite. It’s a testament to the fact that even the most ideologically diverse group can still find common ground and work towards a compromise.
As I wrote in my previous article, the notion that those who support the H-1B program are somehow against American workers is a terrible lie and an even worse message. Thankfully, this misconception didn’t last long, and instead, we’ve been left with a fruitful and fulsome debate over a nuanced issue.
