Shiba Inu’s Lead Dev to Launch New SHIB-Focused Project, Explains Why 2025 Will Be ‘Epic’
In a recent announcement, Shytoshi Kusama, the lead developer of Shiba Inu (SHIB), revealed plans to introduce a brand new project centered around the meme coin. Furthermore, he emphasized that the upcoming year will be “epic” in his statement.
As part of this endeavor, Kusama has announced a 44-episode podcast series dedicated to SHIB and its ecosystem. The podcast is designed to engage the Shiba Inu community in a more immersive manner, with a focus on various aspects of the platform. The developer explained that each Monday will be allocated for discussions about meme coins, while Tuesdays will be focused on Treat (TREAT), a token used as a reward for participating in SHIB-related activities.
The remaining weekdays will have distinct themes: Thursdays will feature “tech talks,” Fridays will involve “shootouts and follows,” and Saturdays will delve into spirituality. With the exception of Wednesday and Sunday, which will have no podcast episodes, this new project aims to build stronger connections within the community.
It is crucial to note that Kusama’s announcement does not seem to have had a significant impact on SHIB’s price movement in the near term. The meme coin has been experiencing a downward trend, with its value dropping by approximately 3% over the past 24 hours and 20% over the two-week period, amid a broader market correction.
Market analysts believe that this downturn may be exacerbated if the recent exchange netflow data continues to indicate a shift towards self-custody methods. In other words, this means there is increased selling pressure due to users choosing centralized platforms over decentralized ones.
