LG Unveils Three New OLED Gaming Monitors — Including World’s First 5K2K Bendable Model
LG has officially taken the wraps off not one, not two, but three new UltraGear OLED gaming monitors ahead of CES 2025. And while we’re used to seeing big-name brands unveil multiple display offerings at major tech events like this, LG’s trio is particularly impressive due to its world-first inclusion of a bendable 5K2K-resolution model.
The crown jewel of LG’s new gaming monitor lineup is undoubtedly the UltraGear 45GX990A. This behemoth of a screen boasts an unprecedented combination of features, including a 5K2K resolution, a 45-inch form factor, and most notably, a bendable OLED panel that can mechanically adjust its curvature between 900R and flat to suit different gaming scenarios or user preferences.
The fact that this monitor is also powered by LG’s webOS smart service means it’s not just limited to gaming, but can also be used for streaming video content – an added layer of functionality that sets it apart from the competition. Furthermore, these bendable and non-bendable UltraGear 45-inch OLED monitors are both capable of producing a native 5K2K resolution, ensuring that players will never have to sacrifice visuals for performance.
In addition to this show-stopping bendable behemoth, LG has also unveiled two other new gaming-centric displays. The first is the UltraGear 45GX950A, which while not bendable like its larger sibling, still packs a punch with a fixed 800R curvature and support for DisplayPort 2.1. What’s more, this 45-inch behemoth is also powered by LG’s webOS smart service, making it an excellent choice for those looking for a gaming monitor that can double as a video streaming device.
The third offering in the UltraGear series is the smaller but still no less impressive 39GX90SA. This 39-inch display may not boast the same level of resolution or curvature options as its larger siblings, but it’s hardly lacking in terms of features – packing HDMI 2.1 support, a USB-C port for charging and data transfer, webOS smarts, and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro/Nvidia G-Sync VRR support.
While no pricing information has been released just yet, LG fans will be eager to get their hands on these new UltraGear offerings.
