Disabled Grandmother Nearly Drowns After Falling Into Water-Filled Sinkhole While Trying to Rescue Her Dog
A disabled grandmother has had a terrifying close call after falling into a 12-foot deep water-filled sinkhole while trying to rescue her dog.
According to reports, the unnamed woman was out walking her pet when it suddenly plunged into the crater. In a desperate attempt to save its life, she followed suit and jumped in after it.
However, the quick-thinking grandmother didn’t realize the depth of the hole, and before she could pull herself up, she became trapped underwater.
Luckily, a group of hikers who were in the area heard her cries for help and rushed to her aid. They managed to pull her out just seconds before she would have drowned.
The woman was taken to hospital for treatment, where it’s reported that she is recovering well from the ordeal.
