Today’s NYT Mini Crossword Clues And Answers For Wednesday, January 1st
Happy New Year to all puzzle solvers out there! If you’re anything like me, you’re probably itching to get started on today’s Mini Crossword challenge. And I’m here to help you with that.
In case you missed yesterday’s puzzle, you can find the answers here: [link]. But if you’re ready to dive into today’s puzzle head-first, then let’s get started!
The first thing to know is that this puzzle is a lot easier if you have knowledge of two specific facts. The New Year used to start in March (I’ll be honest, I didn’t know that fact until now), and TIMEX makes Ironman Triathlon watches.
Armed with these two pieces of information, the rest of the puzzle falls into place rather nicely. But don’t worry if you didn’t know those facts – it’s still possible to solve without them (it just took me a bit longer!). To get around this hurdle, I had to get certain answers in first before I could make an educated guess on TIMEX.
Today’s puzzle is a great reminder that even with the most challenging puzzles, having some basic knowledge can give you a significant edge. That being said, don’t worry if it takes you a little longer to figure things out – just remember that I had to do the same thing!
