Suspect Behind Cybertruck That Exploded at Trump Hotel Identified as Active-Duty U.S. Army Soldier
The suspect behind the recent explosion of a Tesla Cybertruck at the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas has been identified as an active-duty U.S. Army soldier.
Shamsud Din Jabbar, 32, is believed to be responsible for the explosive incident on January 1, which occurred just hours after he rented the vehicle from Turo, a peer-to-peer car rental company.
According to sources, Jabbar was seen driving the Cybertruck through the hotel’s valet area when it suddenly erupted in flames. Authorities were called to the scene and rushed Jabbar to the hospital for treatment of injuries.
The suspect is now facing charges related to terrorism, as an ISIS flag was found on the trailer hitch of his rented vehicle.
Despite the severity of the incident, officials assured that there is no threat to residents in the area, and the investigation remains ongoing due to the “ongoing nature” of the probe.
