CES 2025: all the news, gadgets, and surprises
The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is just around the corner, and it’s shaping up to be a wild ride. We’re seeing leaks and rumors galore about what we can expect from some of the biggest names in tech.
First off, Honda has teased the reveal of two new Zero EV prototypes at CES 2025, which will be making their official debut on the show floor. The company has been working on its global electric vehicle series, dubbed Honda Zero, and it seems like these two models are going to be a major part of that effort.
In other automotive news, LG is bringing its wireless TV technology, known as Zero Connect Box, to one model of its QNED Evo LED lineup. This tech has been impressing reviewers in the past with its ability to beam audio and video wirelessly to a TV panel, making it an exciting development for the world of consumer electronics.
But if you’re anything like me, you’re probably most excited about the gaming side of things at CES 2025. It looks like AMD may be launching its most powerful integrated GPU yet in a gaming tablet – possibly called the AMD Ryzen AI Max 395 Plus. This chip boasts an incredible 80 watts of power for its GPU alone and could potentially revolutionize the way we think about mobile gaming.
Nvidia is also rumored to have some new tricks up its sleeve, with leaks pointing to not one, not two, but four brand-new RTX 50 series graphics cards: the RTX 5090, 5080, 5070 Ti, and 5070. And if that wasn’t enough, Inno3D, an Nvidia partner, claims it will be highlighting new AI features at CES 2025, including something called “Neural Rendering Capabilities” that could change the game for graphics processing.
But don’t even get me started on AMD’s next-generation RDNA 4 gaming graphics. We’ve heard rumors of a completely new lineup of GPUs – possibly starting with the unannounced AMD RX 8800 XT – and it looks like we’re going to be seeing them at CES 2025.
What else can you expect from this year’s show? A press conference from AMD itself, which will “discuss how AMD is expanding its leadership across PCs and gaming,” according to their graphics boss Jack Huynh. That should give us a better idea of what those RDNA 4 GPUs are all about.
Stay tuned for more updates as the event approaches – we’re sure there’s going to be plenty more exciting news and leaks in the coming weeks!
