Samsung is set to unveil its highly anticipated Galaxy S25 Ultra later this month, and new images have surfaced that reveal crucial details about the device’s design. The leaked photos, courtesy of respected industry insider Ice Universe, provide a closer look at the flagship’s display, which may give Samsung an upper hand over its competitors.
One of the most striking features is the corner design of the screen. While previous leaks suggested a more box-like approach to the construction, the latest images reveal that the display mimics the curve of the corner but with a very small radius. This means that, from a practical standpoint, the corners can be treated as right-angles.
This departure from the traditional curved corners found on Google’s Pixel devices will have a tangible impact on video consumption and app usage. For instance, users won’t have to deal with the trims placed on the picture demanded by a wide corner anymore. Additionally, the lack of need to push information into the center of the screen means that an index strip won’t be obscured.
It’s essential to note that this small change in the corner radius offers more practical real estate to show important information on Samsung’s Galaxy S25 family compared to Google’s Pixel 9 family.
